Bernard Norlain

Former Air Defense Commander and Air Combat Commander of the French Air Force

General (Ret.) Bernard Norlain is a former general officer of the French Air Force. He served as Air Defense Commander and Air Combat Commander of the French Air Force, and later as Military Adviser to French Prime Ministers Jacques Chirac and Michel Rocard. From 1990 to 1992, Norlain was commander of the aerian defense during the Gulf War.

General Norlain is a member of the Global Zero Initiative, the Honorary President of the Revue Défense Nationale, and the Vice-President of Initiatives for Nuclear Disarmament (IDN). He has also held the posts of Director of the French Institute for National Defense Studies, Vice-President of Deloitte & Touche, and Chairman of the SOFEMA group.

He is a member of the Advisory Board for the European Leadership Network (ELN).
