Strategic Analysis of Russia-EU Cooperation and Future Prospects for Russia-NATO Relations

On July 13, 2016, the Russian International Affairs Council hosted the European Leadership Network (ELN) for a seminar entitled “Strategic Analysis of Russia-EU Cooperation and Prospects for Russia-NATO Relations.”

The agenda included the presentation of an ELN report on current Russia-EU relations and ways to advance their interaction, as well as the outcomes of the NATO summit in Warsaw and their impact on the Russia-NATO dialogue.

The event was attended by ELN Research Director Lukasz Kulesa and Research Fellow Joseph Dobbs; Head of Strategic Assessments Section of RAS Center for Situational Analysis Sergey Utkin; Head of European Security Section at RAS Institute for European Studies Dmitry Danilov; Head of Integration Processes Chair at MGIMO Nikolai Kaveshnikov; Army General (Ret.) Vyacheslav Trubnikov, Member of IMEMO Board, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, RIAC Vice President; RIAC Member Vitaly Zhurkin, Honorary Director of RAS Institute for European Studies; Russian Ambassador to the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg Mark Entin (2012-2016), and other experts on relations in the Russia-EU-NATO triangle.

The debate was moderated by RIAC Program Director Ivan Timofeev and Program Manager Natalia Evtikhevich.
