Benoit d’Aboville

Former Ambassador and Permanent Representative to NATO, Vice President of the Fondation pour la Recherche Stratégique

Benoit d’Aboville is a diplomat and former ambassador, Vice president of Fondation des Etudes Stratégiques in Paris, and professor at Sciences Po/PSIA Paris.

During his diplomatic career d’Aboville was assigned to Washington, Moscow, Geneva, New York and Brussels. He served as former Deputy Political Director at the French MFA, Consul General in New York, Ambassador in Prague and Warsaw and French Permanent Representative to NATO.

Benoit was also Senior Auditor at the French Court of Audit (Cour des Comptes) for defence expenditures and a member of the 2008 Defense White Book team. He is a specialist in political-military affairs and former Vice President and member of the International Institute of Humanitarian Law in San Remo and Geneva.

Fmr Ambasador d’Aboville is currently Vice President of the Board of the Fondation pour la Recherche Strategique in Paris, a teacher at Sciences Po/PSIA, and works also for the French Air Force.
