Dr Nick Ritchie

Lecturer in International Security at the Department of Politics, University of York

Dr Nick Ritchie is a Lecturer in International Security at the Department of Politics, University of York, where he teaches courses in international relations, war and peace, and US national security. His current work on British nuclear weapons policy is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust. Recent publications include A Nuclear Weapons-Free World? Britain, Trident and the Challenges Ahead (Palgrave, 2012) and ‘Valuing and Devaluing Nuclear Weapons’ (Contemporary Security Policy, April 2013). He previously worked as a Research Fellow at the Department of Peace Studies, University of Bradford, and as a researcher on international security and nuclear disarmament issues at the Oxford Research Group.
