The ELN’s Group Statement, appealing to the US government to extend the New START Treaty, has been mentioned in POLITICO’s “Morning Defense” newsletter.

“ALLIES APPEAL FOR NEW START: European diplomats and parliamentarians are calling on Congress today to convince the U.S. government to extend the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty with Russia. “As officials who strive to protect the health and security of millions of European citizens, we feel distressed by the possibility that New START may lapse in less than six months,” dozens of members of the European Leadership Network wrote to the Democratic and Republican leaders of the House Foreign Affairs and Senate Foreign Relations Committees.”
