ELN Research Director Andreas Persbo quoted in Energy Intelligence

Andreas Persbo, research director of The ELN, has been quoted in Energy Intelligence on the US move to launch a “snapback” of all prior UN sanctions against Iran.

Referral of the issue to a neutral observer such as the International Court of Justice, a solution some have suggested, seems unlikely given the time it would take to resolve the matter and Washington’s determination to see the matter to conclusion ahead of Oct. 18, when the arms embargo against Iran is set to expire under the JCPOA. “There is no real precedent for this, at all, in the history of the United Nations,” Andreas Persbo, research director at the European Leadership Network, told Energy Intelligence.
