The ELN launches new programme on strengthening Balkans security

The European Leadership Network is delighted to be hosting today a conference in London in the Palace of Westminster that launches an open-ended programme of work on strengthening Balkans security.

The conference brings together parliamentarians and other representatives from the Western Balkans and the wider region, British parliamentarians, and some generous sponsors to consider an initial, multi-year project to build a cross-party, cross-regional network that supports best practice in parliamentary oversight of security matters.

This project will be developed in collaboration with the Southeastern Europe Security Centre. The conference is being held under the Chatham House Rule and key findings will be shared on that basis afterwards.
