Audronius Ažubalis

Former Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs

Audronius Ažubalis served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania from 2010 to 2012, and Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.

He became a Member of the Seimas in 1996–2000, and was re-elected in 2004, 2008, and 2012. He was a constant member of the NATO parliamentary assembly. Mr. Ažubalis represents the Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats, Lithuania’s conservative party and part of the European People’s Party. In 2011 he served as Lithuania’s Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe).
