Deepti Choubey joined the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) as senior director for nuclear and bio-security in 2010. Before joining NTI, she served as deputy director of the Nuclear Policy Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace from 2006 to 2010.
Earlier, she was director of the Peace and Security Initiative for the Ploughshares Fund. She also worked for Ambassador Nancy Soderberg at the International Crisis Group and in the private sector for several years as a strategy consultant.
In her career, she has provided analysis for media outlets ranging from National Public Radio and BBC to CNN and MSNBC. Her articles have been published in the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and U.S. News and World Report, among other publications.
