Igor Istomin is an Associate Professor at the Department of Applied International Political Analysis, MGIMO University. Istomin has also been a Visiting Fellow at Jilin University (China), and has presented both there and at Georgetown University (USA). He serves as an Executive Editor at the Russian academic journal Mezhdunarodnye Protsessy (International Trends) and previously worked in the European Studies Institute at MGIMO University.
Istomin specializes in the political and security dimensions in the Euro-Atlantic area. He defended his PhD on the role of think tanks and academia in U.S. foreign policy making.
