Jan Hamáček is a Czech Social Democratic politician. He was first elected to Parliament in 2006 where he served as the Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee and head of the Czech Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Mr Hamáček has also served as the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic as Shadow Defence Minister, Minister of the Interior, and Leader of the Czech Social Democratic Party until October 2021.
Among other topics, Mr. Hamacek’s comments on defence and world affairs have appeared in the Harvard International Review, the US Atlantic Council, and the Europe’s World.
