Jeanette Axelsson is a policy analyst at the U.S. Embassy in Sweden, with a focus on political-military issues. Prior to her current work, Jeanette was a project manager at the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat until 2020 and a desk officer at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs until late 2014. Jeanette holds a Bachelor in Political Science from Stockholm University, and completed her Master in Security Policy and Crisis Management at the Swedish Defense University of in 2020. Her thesis was a content analysis of Arctic policy documents using securitization theory. Her areas of expertise include transatlantic relations, Arctic policy and political-military Nordic relations.
