Jennifer Spindel

Assistant Professor of Political Science, University of New Hampshire

Jennifer Spindel is an assistant professor of political science at the University of New Hampshire. Her research focuses on international security, foreign policy, and alliances. Her work has appeared in Security Studies, the Journal of Global Security Studies, and Armed Forces & Society, as well as The Monkey Cage, The Conversation, and War on the Rocks.  She is currently working on a book manuscript about how states use the conventional weapons trade to send signals about their political alignments. Her dissertation won the Kenneth Waltz Award for best dissertation in international security, awarded by the American Political Science Association.

Jennifer received her PhD from the University of Minnesota and her BA from Colgate University. She previously held fellowships at George Washington University and at Dartmouth College.
