Katria Tomko is a Senior Intelligence & Policy Analyst at the Global Disinformation Index (GDI). At GDI, Katria’s work furthers the mission to break the business models and perverse incentives to create and disseminate disinformation online. Her areas of expertise include hybrid threats, memory politics, and Eastern European and North American affairs. She currently focuses on foreign malign influence, global conspiracies, and extremist ideologies. She has previously worked on issues related to security, good governance, and human rights at the Institute for Historical Justice & Reconciliation, OSCE, Hivos, EuroClio, and Ukrainian Parliament.
Katria holds an M.Sc. in International Relations (University of Amsterdam), a B.A. in Government & Law and Russian & East European Studies (Lafayette College), and a certificate in Public Policy Analysis (LSE). She has been recognized as a German Marshall Fund Next Generation Leader (2021) and a UNODA-OSCE Peace & Security Scholar (2020).
