Sir Laurie Bristow KCMG is a British diplomat, currently serving as regional Ambassador for China, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa for the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26).

Laurie was previously the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Russia (2016 – 2020). Before this, he held various roles in the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, including Director for National Security (2012 – 2015), Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (2010 – 2012). He has also served as Ambassador to Azerbaijan (2004 – 2007) and Deputy Ambassador to Moscow (2007 – 2010).  He joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1990.
