Marit van de Mortel joined the European Leadership Network in September 2017. Before joining the ELN, she worked at the Media Diversity Institute, an NGO in London promoting responsible media coverage of diversity internationally. Other work experience includes an internship in her final year of undergraduate study at De Groene Amsterdammer, a Dutch news magazine, and an internship at a New York-based charity committed to helping individuals from disadvantaged communities start their own businesses.
Marit holds an MA in American Studies with Distinction from King’s College London and a BA in Language and Culture Studies, with a specialisation in American Studies, from Utrecht University.
