Nick Wright

Teaching Fellow in EU Politics at University College London

Dr Nick Wright joined UCL in September 2015 as a Teaching Fellow in EU Politics. He holds a PhD in Politics and an MA in International Relations from the University of East Anglia. He worked previously as a Lecturing Fellow in International Relations and a Senior Research Associate at UEA and has taught on the University of Leicester’s International Relations Distance Learning MA programme since 2009.

Dr Wright’s research deals primarily with foreign policy and policy-making within the context of the EU; the impact of the European External Action Service on the foreign policy co-operation and output of EU Member States; and EU administration. He is currently researching the implications for the UK of ‘Brexit’, focusing primarily on foreign policy-making, Whitehall re-organisation, and the practicalities of negotiating EU withdrawal. He makes regular media contributions on Brexit and a range of other subjects regionally, nationally and internationally.
