Torbjørn Graff Hugo

Advisor at the International Law and Policy Institute

Torbjørn Graff Hugo is associated with the International Law and Policy Institute (ILPI) Centre for African Studies and is also ILPI’s newly appointed Resident Representative in Nairobi, Kenya.

Previously, he has worked and studied in a range of different countries, including Sri Lanka, Kenya, France, Spain, Japan and the USA. During his master he completed a 6 month internship with the Norwegian Mission to the United Nations in New York, working mainly on security and disarmament related issues. Before joining ILPI, Hugo worked in the Section for Disarmament and Non-proliferation in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Oslo. He has a special interest in the issues of nuclear disarmament, ethnic conflict and constitutional design.
