Anke Schmidt-Felzmann is a security policy professional and analyst, now working on technical and regulatory challenges in the field of IT and information security. Previously, her work was primarily focused on European security and national foreign, security and defence policy, i.a. as a Senior Researcher and Lecturer in International Security at the Military Academy of Lithuania, at the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) as a (non-resident) Baltic Sea Fellow, as Associate Professor at NTNU (Trondheim) and as a post-doctoral research fellow in the Europe and Russia program at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (Utrikespolitiska institutet, UI) in Stockholm. She holds a PhD in Politics from the University of Glasgow and an MSc in International and European Politics from the University of Edinburgh.
