Kim Westerich-Fellner

Mercator Fellow on International Affairs and Visiting Researcher at Forschungszentrum Juelich and the James Martin Centre for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS)

Kim Joana Westerich-Fellner is a Mercator Fellow on International Affairs and Visiting Researcher at Forschungszentrum Juelich (IEK-6: Nuclear Waste Management) and the James Martin Centre for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS). Her work focuses on approaches to promote nuclear disarmament. Among others, Kim is investigating how verification mechanisms for the depletion of nuclear warheads can be effectively developed and implemented.

Kim has a PhD in Molecular Biology. She earned her doctorate at the University of Münster and conducted research stays in New York, Cambridge and at the Max Planck Institute.
