Anna Grytsenko is a young Ukrainian studying for her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, International Politics and Economics at Middlebury College in the United States. She is most interested in exploring the intersections between the different facets of the existential risk landscape. Before attending university, she volunteered on a media project called “Mediaplatforma,” which aimed to raise journalistic standards and help Ukrainian reporters find career opportunities. With the advent of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, she has worked as a fact-checker debunking Russian propaganda. She also helps to manage the social media pages of the prominent, independent, Ukrainian newspaper ZN,UA . At Middlebury College, Anna is active in promoting Ukrainian culture through her participation in the student community.
