Kateryna Anisova

Director of Intelligence Department, London Politica

Kateryna Anisova is a graduate student of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree in Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies (2022-2024) awarded by the consortium of the University of Glasgow, Dublin City University and Charles University. In 2022, Kateryna obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (Ukraine). Kateryna’s main research interests focus on European and Euro-Atlantic security and defence cooperation and global strategic studies.

Since November 2023, Kateryna has been a co-Director of the Intelligence Department of London Politica, the world’s largest youth-led pro-bono political risk advisory. In September 2023, she was a visiting fellow at the Brussels-based think tank Trans European Political Science Association, researching the changing dynamics of European defence architecture. In spring 2023, Kateryna completed her internship at the Ukrainian Embassy in Dublin. Kateryna is also an alumnus of the OSCE 2023 Scholarship for Peace and Security and the 2023 European Forum Alpbach.

No need to wait: Capability building and collective defence as security guarantees for Ukraine

Institutionalised and forward-looking security and defence cooperation during the war and interim period are critical security guarantees for Ukraine. Kateryna Anisova writes that the G7-EU-coalition-of-willing nexus can assure a comprehensive and mutually reinforcing approach for bolstering Ukraine’s capabilities and integrating it into the Euro-Atlantic security system before the war ends.
