Sinikka Parviainen is a senior analyst working at the East Office of Finnish Industries in Helsinki focusing on Russian, CIS and Ukrainian economic development. Sinikka has already a decade of experience in applied and academic research on developing economies. Sinikka also holds a doctorate in Economics from the Aalto University School of Business completed in 2019. Her dissertation analysed corruption, informal practices and foreign direct investment. Her other areas of expertise also include impact of sanctions on businesses, trade and international value chains. Sinikka’s work experience also includes applied and academic research work from the United Nations University for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) between 2015-2017.
