NEVER: AI Roundtable

Members of the NEVER network convened on Friday, the 28th of July, to discuss AI and the role it plays in aggravating existential risk, with NEVER coordinator, Edan Simpson, chairing the meeting. The gathered members heard from the ELN’s Research Coordinator, Alice Saltini, on her work undertaken on AI and the different nuclear policies of the Permanent Members of the United Nations Security Council. This was followed by presentations from NEVER members Ezgi Yazicioglu and Arthur Duforest about their work at their respective organisations (the Interparliamentary Union and NATO’s Science and Technology Organisation) on AI and existential risk.
