About the European Defence Programme
The European Defence Programme focuses on the future of European security, in the frameworks of the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) and the NATO European pillar. It addresses the opportunities for enhancing EU-NATO relations, encouraging greater commitment to transatlantic burdensharing and improving European cohesion on security matters. The programme will also seek to examine the changing role of the UK in European security after Brexit, in parallel with analysing the role of members of the wider Euro-Atlantic space.
Our goal is to produce actionable recommendations leading to more effective and practical policy-making to help overcome Europe’s security challenges.
